Sales horses
Our sales horses are gently started as three year-olds, learning groundwork and jumping basics in our indoor arena. At four, they move to full-time training. This includes off-site coaching, outdoor work and first competitions.
In late 2025 and 2026, we plan to sell Oakley KVS, Sambuca KVS and some of our young prospects. If you are interested in any of these quality young horses, please contact us.
Oakley KVS

Oakley KVS is by Phin Phin, a KWPN-approved stallion who was known for his extremely fast take off, fighting spirit and good technique. Phin Phin’s sport achievements, under Roelof Bril, include winning the Gyon Grand Prix and being a two-time champion at Arnhem.
Recognizing the quality of his offspring, Phin Phin was designated a keur stallion by KWPN and a studbook ambassador by BWP. As a sire, Phin Phin is known for passing on his fast reflexes, length and looseness in the body, and good movement.
Going back a generation, Oakley’s dam sire Cavalier is also famous in both sport and breeding. Competing as San Patrigano Mister under Frank Sloothaak, Cavalier won more than 40 Grand Prix, puissance and speed competitions, and as a sire, also achieved KWPN’s keur predicate. And back one further, Oakley’s great grandsire is the famous Nimmerdor, named the Netherlands’ “Stallion of the century” in 2000.
On his dam side, Oakley is from the famous Sina mare line 20, breeding line 398, which has produced many international jumpers. His dam Gazelle KVS was out of our ster and prestatie mare Obligeant II, who also produced 1.45m jumpers Utah and Vini Vidi Vici, and 1.35m jumper Cameleon KVS. Oakley’s full sister Malibu KVS (2018 Phin Phin) and younger half-brother Peter Parker KVS (2020 Cosmos BH) are both competing in sport: Malibu, (sold in late 2024 after producing two lovely fillies) at 1.20 and 1.25m, and Parker (who started his career in spring 2025) at 1.0m.

In summer 2025, Oakley is back in full-time training and showing again after being under extended stall rest to regrow a 2024 hoof resection (required to eliminate white line separation he’d contracted earlier that year).
Since and before his hiatus, Oakley’s show experience includes:
Paramount Equestrian Centre Summer Classic (August 8-10, 2025): Sixth place in the $10,000 Speedy Apollo 1.0m derby.
Spruce Meadows February Classic II (February 23-25, 2024): Clear in the 0.90m and 1.0m clear and one round events.
Thunderbird Western Family (July 4-9, 2023): Clear and third place in the 4 year old 1.0m clear round competition.
Thunderbird West Coast Classic (June 27 - July 2, 2023): Competed at the 0.9m and 1.0m levels.
Ponoka Indoor Series Jump Start (February 2023): Clear in the 4 year old competition and at 0.8m.

Oakley is a mellow and athletic young horse with a willing “I can do that” attitude. His groundwork is smooth and fluid. He jumps with power and scope, and is learning to use his long frame and strength.

Sambuca KVS

Sambuca KVS is by Adequan JVH Z, a talented and even-tempered Amstrong van de Kapel son who has competed up to 1.60m and stood in Calgary, Alberta in the early 2020’s.
Sam’s dam sire Berlin is one of the top show jumping breeding stallions in the world. Berlin held a top place in the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses jumper sire rankings for over a decade, including top ten placings from 2017 to 2020. In that time, he was also at the top of the KWPN breeding values, including first place in 2021.
Sambuca’s dam Zinadine T is one of KVS Sport Horses foundation mares. Imported from Europe by KVS, Zina had already earned an elite sprt/s predicate from KWPN on the strength of her young 1.30m show jumping career. Zinadine’s oldest foals are Dutch Donault T, a ster, voort keur mare, and Icebreaker KVS, a talented 1.20m jumper who also competes successfully in amateur eventing.

As of September 2025, Sambuca is training three days per week. He has three smooth gaits under saddle and consistently makes lead changes. He is jumping simple combinations.

Sambuca is a gentle and trusting young horse. He is willing and steady, and shows promise as a talented amateur prospect.
